Prince is the most annoying musician I’ve ever had the mixed pleasure of being a fan of. But he’s 50 today, and even though I doubt he’ll ever make another record that’s remotely interesting, I keep hoping he will. I could probably write an exegesis on this artist, and maybe one day I will, but for now, I think I’ll just put on “Soul Psychodelicide” and raise a glass to the man on a substantial anniversary.
